Since many years Majorca is a popular holiday destination because of its many beautiful beaches (called Playa in Spanish) all around the island. The beaches may vary from long sandy beaches with flat entries to small idyllic coves or picturesque bays. If you spend your holiday in Majorca, the next beach is usually not far away.
There are many holiday apartments, homes and villas for rent right next to the ocean with absolute stunning sea view and in walking distance to the next beautiful beach. Some holiday homes or villas are located in apartment complexes built right into the rocks of the coastline and the next beach is only a few minutes’ drive by car. Since that last few years Majorca has made many efforts to make the beaches safe for swimmers and authorities regularly control the water quality and safe guards are present during the main season. Blue flags on the beaches mean the beach is safe and clean and a good water quality is guaranteed. There are even some beaches were nudism is allowed like the Es Trenc in the south, a very nice 3 km long sandy beach in a natural reserve. Topless is generally permitted in Spain and Mallorca.
In the right menu you will find information on the individual beaches in Majorca. If you move the cursor on one of the beaches, an orange dot will point out on the map where exactly the beach is located.
