El Toro is a small town with approx. 2500 inhabitants, located in the southwest between Santa Ponsa and Magaluf. Over the years El Toro developed into a rather modern town with larger houses and apartment complexes mixed with old Mallorcan homes, which give this town a very special character.
One of the highlights nearby is the most modern harbor of the island: Port Adriano. The harbor has just finished contractions in 2012 and is definitely worth a visit. With its 82 moorings, providing space for also the long and exclusive yachts, its many exquisite boutiques, restaurants and cafés is it the place to be and for sure a competition to the harbors of Portals Nous and Puerto Andratx.
A small sandy beach, which just has been refilled with sand in 2010, can be found right next to Port Adriano. The neighboring town of Santa Ponsa is a thriving and busy holiday resort, also with several large and small secluded beaches as well as three superb championship golf courses, of which one is open to public. Here you also find many restaurants catering for everyone’s taste.
For families with children the Aqualand and Water Park offer lots of entertainment with several shows and water slides.
El Toro is also a very popular holiday destination as it close to Palma de Mallorca, which is just approx. 16 km away.
