Bendinat with about 520 inhabitants is located in a quiet exclusive residential area between Illetas and Portals Nous. Bendinat belongs to the region of Calviá, the richest community of Majorca, with many exclusive houses villas and apartments beautifully built into the hills of the coastline.

Bendinat was named after the 13th -Century neo-Gothic castle, which can be seen from the highway leading from Palma to Puerto Andratx, currently owned by private investors.
Off the main road in Bendinat following a small path you will find a nice little sandy beach from where you may walk along a path all the way to Punta Portals. Along the way you may enjoy great stone formations and absolute terrific views over the bay of Palma and the coast of Magaluf.
The most beautiful beach of Bendinat can be found below the 30 m high cliffs of Costa de Bendinat. The nice harbor of Portals Nous is a great place to just relax and sit in one of the cafés or restaurants and enjoy the fantastic views.

The observation deck of the chapel "Oratory", also offers an outstanding view of the island.

The close by harbor of Portals Nous is a great place to see some of the most expensive yachts and boats on the island. Some of the finest restaurants have saved themselves a spot here as well as expensive and exclusive boutiques. Many Agencies are waiting to sell or rent out yachts and sailboats to tourists and owners. The nice promenade with its many cafés and large variety of restaurants is usually crowded in the summer months with tourists and locals who simply enjoy the special atmosphere of this prestige harbor.

Another great selection of good restaurants, bars and cafes can be found in Palma de Mallorca, as well as shops, boutiques and shopping centers.

Bendinat is also known for its excellent golf course, the "Real Golf de Bendinat "with Juan Carlos, the King of Spain, as its Honorary President.
