The Costa de la Calma (meaning coast of calmness or coast of peace) on the west coast of Majorca is a contemplative glamorous town of the municipality of Calvia, Spain's richest municipality, and is located in the immediate vicinity of Paguera and Santa Ponsa. In the quieter and well maintained Costa de la Calma you can still enjoy beautiful sunsets and fantastic views of the open sea, away from tourism crowds.

In addition to numerous villas, there are only a few small, exclusive hotels, that have secured themselves a place here at the picturesque coast of Majorca.
The beach at the Costa de la Calma, the small bay of Cala Blanca is rather small and tucked away. Further beaches can be found in the neighboring towns of Santa Ponsa and Paguera. Several 18-hole golf courses with challenging greens are located in Santa Ponsa, Camp de Mar and along the coast to Palma de Mallorca.

Fine dining restaurants can be found in the rather prestigious harbor town of Puerto de Andratx, Port Adriano and Puerto Portals. Those who prefer something more down to earth, or home-style cuisine find various restaurants in the surrounding villages of Camp de Mar or Santa Ponsa. Some of the offered dishes are even influenced by the English cuisine since many English tourists love to spend their holidays here.

If you are looking for designer shops you find a good selection in either Puerto Andratx or Portals Nous. Many souvenir shops are to be found in Santa Ponsa and Paguera. The capital of the island, Palma de Mallorca, is only 20 km away and you should definitively not miss out on a visit.

Costa de la Calma is also an ideal base for cycling and hiking. In the close by Tramuntana Mountains you find several well-marked hiking trails and guided walks are also offered.
